➤ Ingredients
✔Tomato Sauce
1/2 onion
1 tsp minced garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 can(400g/14oz) diced tomato
425g(15oz) tomato sauce
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
salt
black pepper
✔ Cabbage rolls
1 cabbage (10~12 leaves)
450g(1lb) ground beef
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 onion
1 cup of cooked rice
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp parsley
1 egg
➤ Recipe
1. 1 Cabbage, cut the cabbage core and remove it. Peel and wash cabbage leaves. When the water boils, steam it for 5 minutes. 1/2 Onion (for sauce), chop the onion, 1/2 Onion (for cabbage rolls).
2. Medium heat, 2 tbsp Olive oil. Saute the onion for 4 minutes, 1 tsp Minced garlic, add garlic and fry for 30 seconds, 1 can(14oz) Diced tomatoes, 425g(15oz) Tomato Sauce, salt and black pepper to taste.
3. Boil the sauce for 2 minutes, 2 tbsp Brown sugar, ,1 tbsp Red wine vinegar. Simmer for 8-10 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally, 450g(1lb) Ground Beef, 1/2 Onion, 1 cup Cooked rice, 3/4 tsp Salt, 1/2 tsp Black pepper, 1 tsp Minced garlic, 1 tbsp Parsley, 1 Egg. Mix well.
4. Cut the stem, this makes it easier to make . I’ll roll up my cabbage. Fold the edges and roll up, got 11 cabbage rolls yeah.
5. Pour a little sauce on the bottom of the oven container, put a generous amount of sauce on top. I put the rest in another container. Cover the top with aluminum foil to keep it from drying out. Bake in an oven at 180℃(356℉) for 70-80 minutes. Delicious Cabbage Rolls are here.
