I made a butterscotch scone without butter and the sugar wouldn’t taste good and then baked it. I think it’s the king of crunchy and salty flavors hehehe The seeds are raw so the texture is good, the butter and sugar in the middle seems to enhance the flavor.
Ingredient
250g soft flour
8g baking powder
15g sugar
3g salt
80 g cold unsalted butter
80g cold milk
40 g unsalted butter
40g sugar
Recipe
1. Add baking powder, sugar and salt to flour, mix well.
2. Add cold butter and mix by hand mash.
3. Add cold milk and knead into a ball.
4. Place on parchment, cover with parchment and spread.
5. Add the sugar to the softened butter at room temperature, mix well and spread evenly over the dough.
6. Roll up, gently press the top and leave in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
7. Take the dough out, spread the butter and sugar mixture on top.
