Easy Cabbage Pie Recipe | Smooth Aroma


3 tablespoons olive oil

1 onion, chopped

1 large carrot, grated

1 bell pepper, diced

1/2 head thinly sliced 500g cabbage



Other seasoning of your choice

For powder

5 tablespoons Mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

10g Baking powder

84g Wheat Flour

3 eggs

For the top

White sesame seeds


1. Preheat oven to 190C (375F). Line a sheet of parchment paper in the bottom of a 23 cm (9 inch) round baking pan. Set aside.

2. Make the filling: in a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until lightly golden, about 6-7 minutes. Add the grated carrot, diced bell pepper and cook, stirring frequently, for about 5-7 minutes. Add sliced cabbage and cook for 10-12 minutes.

3. Turn off the heat and set aside.

4. Mix mayonnaise, sugar, salt, baking powder and 3 tablespoons flour in a bowl. Mix until smooth. Add eggs and mix until combined and smooth. Add the rest of the flour and mix until smooth and slightly thickened

5. Pour half of the batter into the bottom of the baking pan and spread it evenly. Then, spread the filling on top of the dough, then pour the rest of the dough over the filling and spread it evenly.

6. Sprinkle some white/black/black sesame (optional).

7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until top is golden brown.

8. Let cool for at least 20-30 minutes, then remove from pan and serve.
