📒 Ingredients

200 g cake flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

120 g unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

220 g sugar

2 eggs (size l)

170 g milk

1+1/2 tbsp vinegar

1 tsp vanilla extract

Buttercream Recipe

190 g unsalted butter

150 g icing sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

70 g whipping cream

📒 Ingredients

1. 170 g milk, 1+1/2 tbsp vinegar. Let it rest for 30 minutes before using. Grease an 8-inch cake pan and line with parchment paper, 200 g cake flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder. Sift the flour together and set aside, 120 g unsalted butter, 220 g caster sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt. Scrape the butter on the side every 1 minute.

2. Beat until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minute with high speed), 2 eggs (size l), add a little at a time. Beat to combine well before continuing, 1 tsp vanilla extract, add the flour. Add the flour in three batches alternating with the milk, add 1/2 the milk, mix at low speed.

3. Gently tap few times to remove air bubbles. Bake at 160 degrees. Celsius, do not turn on the fan, about 35-40 minutes, bake until skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Stand in tray for 5 minutes , Transfer to wire rack to cool.

4. 190 g unsalted butter. Beat until light and fluffy, 150 g icing sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt. Beat until light and fluffy, 70 g whipping cream, add a little at times.
