How To Make The World’s Softest Sponge Cake | 5 Ingredient | Taiwanese Castella Cake Recipe

Cake flour 80g

oil 50g

milk 80g

5 egg

Sugar 80g

Vanilla extract 1ts1


1. Heat 80g of milk and 50g of cooking oil, add 80g of Cake flour to the heated liquid and mix well, add 5 egg yolks and mix well, vanilla extract 1ts.

2. Whip about 5 egg whites and 80g sugar, whip until end is gently bent. Mix the meringue in the batter. Mix well up to the edge with a spatula.

3. Fan size 7x7inch(18x18cm). Pour the batter into the pan. Make the top flat. Place a pan of batter in a large pan and pour hot water into a large pan.

4. Bake in preheated 300℉(150℃) degree oven for 1 hour. The cake is so cute when it’s baked plump, dense and smooth. It’s like a soft, dense sponge.
